textos de alunos: "Take a minute, take five!"

Mais um texto, desta vez de Simão Mendes, 11ºC, sobre curiosidade cultural, nomeadamente a festividade do "Dia de los Muertos", subcategoria  "The World Around Us".

    Dia de los Muertos

Dia de los Muertos is one of the most awaited parties by the Mexican people, starting on 31st October and ending on 2nd November.
Mexicans believe that this is the period in which departed ones are allowed to return to earth, more precisely on 31st of October. That`s why those around here put together a big party to celebrate life and death.
So Mexicans prepare their homes with candles, flowers, food and sweets. One of the symbols of this festivity is the Mexican skull. On 2nd November, all Saints day is celebrated.

"La catrina" is one of the biggest symbols of the Day of the Dead, and the main flower is Cempasúchil.
