Imagine” is a song by English rock musician John Lennon from his 1971 album of the same name.

  Shortly before his death, Lennon said that much of the song’s lyrics and content came from his wife, Yoko Ono.

  In this song, Lennon imagines a world where there is peace and acceptance of everyone; a world without materialism (possessions), without borders separating nations and without religion. He believes that all those things divide the people and lead to serious conflicts and wars. That’s why, as a dreamer, he asks the audience to imagine like him and see, even if it’s difficult, the world as he does.

In the present, there are still many people affected by or living in a state of injustice or inequality who continue to imagine a different and better world, so the message conveyed by this song still resonates in people’s hearts.

In summary, this beautiful song was written to show us that there is another way out there to live our lives; that we don’t need to hate or kill but instead we need to learn to live in peace and harmony with each other.
