DID YOU KNOW? NOW YOU KNOW
Perfect crime
In theory, there is an area in the United States where it is possible to commit crimes: the northern and western edges of Yellowstone Park.
Yellowstone National Park is almost entirely in Wyoming. A tiny portion is located in the neighbouring states of Idaho and Montana.
It turns out that a loophole in the country's legislation created this possibility, although, in practice, nobody has tried to find out if it really works.
It all comes under the Sixth Amendment, which states that "in all criminal cases the accused shall be entitled to a speedy and public trial by an impartial jury in the State where the crime was committed, such State to be preliminarily delimited by law.”
