 Mais um texto, desta vez da Bárbara Costa, 8ºI, na subcategoria "Speak up your mind".


How healthy are you?


    Food has a big impact in our daily life. Healthy eating is extremely important to have a good life, because it keeps us active and it makes us have less chances of being sick.

    At breakfast, I usually eat wholegrain cereals with milk, but sometimes I make a smoothie or I eat Greek yogurt with fruit. Fruit and vegetables contain lots of vitamins and fibre which are excellent for our body. That’s why I eat them every day.

    I almost never skip meals, because I know how necessary eating is, and how important is to keep our bodies strong and energized throughout the day. I also have two snacks between meals, one in the morning and another in the afternoon.

    I am active and I exercise almost every day. I practice karate twice a week, on Mondays and Wednesdays and sometimes I have competitions at the weekends. I always go to school on foot, except on rainy days and I love going for a walk with my family.

    Overall, I think having healthy eating habits is crucial, especially for children and teens, because it helps us grow up and stay strong and lively.

Don’t forget, eat a little bit of everything, exercise and you’ll be as fit as a fiddle.
