Film Review - Purple Hearts
"Purple hearts" is an original romance by Netflix, produced by Elysa Dutton, Amy Baer and Leslie Morgenstein and it was released on 29th July 2022. It was shot in California and Texas although other locations were also used in some scenes.
This film is about a girl named Cassie played by Sofia Carson and a boy called Luke played by Nicholas Galitzine. He currently serves in the US Marines and she is trying to make people recognize her work as a singer while she works as a waitress in a bar. They end up meeting when he returns from a mission due to a friend they both have in common.
Although the first impressions may not have been the best, this happens at moments in both of their lives when they are not well so they need to come together to work on a benefit plan. Because of that, they end up becoming closer, eventually falling in love with each other, and perhaps their true love can overcome all problems.
In my opinion, this film is perfect, especially for those who like romance. The characters are quite captivating due to the fact that they have two different mentalities and personalities. I totally recommend it and I hope you fall in love with the story like I did. Vitória Martins 9.º D
