                                                                             The deepest place in the ocean

The Mariana Trench is the deepest place in the oceans, reaching a depth of 10,984 meters, which is greater than Mount Everest, the highest mountain in the world, by 2 kilometers in height. Having been explored 3 times by humans, the furthest they have been able to reach is 8,000 meters. It is located in the Pacific Ocean, east of the Mariana Islands, on the convergent boundary between the tectonic plates of the Pacific Ocean and the Philippines.
